Gipuzkoa, November 26, 2025 — Battera Technologies participates as a project partner in S-UrbanGo, an initiative focused on the development of a high-performance electric bicycle designed for urban and interurban journeys ranging from 6 to 30 kilometers. The project is carried out in collaboration with Innventa Energía, a company specialized in advanced electric propulsion solutions and energy efficiency.
The vehicle will incorporate a 1000 W direct-drive motor and advanced solutions to address the main current challenges in micromobility: limited range, low energy efficiency, and operation in urban environments with challenging terrain.
Within this framework, Battera, together with Innventa Energía, will be responsible for the design and industrialization of a next-generation battery, with an estimated capacity of 700 to 1000 Wh, optimized to maximize system efficiency and performance. The solution will integrate three key functionalities:
• Energy recovery during braking through an optimized regeneration system (regenerative braking).
• Real-time communication with both the control system and the user.
• Structural integration within a housing defined by the overall vehicle design.
This battery will set a new standard for S-Pedelec applications, combining energy efficiency, smart capabilities, and a design adaptable to advanced architectures. By the end of the project, functional prototypes validated in real-world environments are expected, along with a reproducible and scalable manufacturing process and full validation under operating conditions.
